Our Histroy

Haley Watson-Stephens is a Florida native. She and her husband Nic are happily married with two amazing boys: Mason and Miles. Using her hometown of Flagler Beach, FL, as a training ground, Haley is a 2x USA National Surfing Champion and 5x East Coast Women's Surfing Champion. In 2021, she began the first mom to ever win a USA National Surfing Championship title.

As an active philanthropist, Haley is the Founder and President of the MayDay Memorial, which hosts an annual surf classic at the Flagler Beach Pier in May to promote awareness and fight heart disease, especially in women. She began this to honor her mother, Dollie Sue Watson, after her untimely death at the age of 48 in 2006. 

Since the start, the MayDay Memorial Surf Classic has raised and donated a total of $54,156.00 to benefit the Center for Cardiology at Halifax Health.
